Following the successful integration of two sets of 25 MW high-power high-voltage frequency converters provided by the company into the grid for the first time in the world's first 300 MW level compressed air energy storage power station demonstration project in Yingcheng, Hubei, Dayu Electric won the bid for the 300MW compressed air energy storage power station demonstration project in Yumen, Jiuquan, Gansu and the 350MW compressed air energy storage innovation demonstration project in Tai'an, Shandong respectively in July and August, fully demonstrating the company's high-power high-voltage frequency conversion technology strength.

The demonstration project of the 300MW compressed air energy storage power station in Yumen, Jiuquan, Gansu Province has overcome the geographical limitations of large-scale compressed air energy storage projects, such as salt caverns, and achieved local linkage between large capacity energy storage and wind and solar resources. The total planned scale of the project is two 300MW/1800MWh large-scale compressed air energy storage power stations, and the storage tanks adopt the world's first artificial chamber scheme; The high-temperature adiabatic compression scheme using three-stage compression is adopted. The compressor in this project is equipped with a synchronous motor with the highest rated power in China, with a maximum motor power of 81MW per unit. The project also adopts the world's first low melting point molten salt high-temperature adiabatic compression technology, creating a new route and solution for large capacity compressed air energy storage that is green, zero carbon, efficient, economical, and has flexible application scenarios. Shandong Tai'an 2 × 300 MW compressed air energy storage innovation demonstration project is the world's largest 350 MW salt cavern compressed air energy storage project, which is jointly invested and constructed by China Energy Construction Corporation, Mount Taishan New Energy Development Co., Ltd. and other units. Adopting an advanced "four stage compression+four stage expansion" system solution, the energy storage/charging time is designed to be 8 hours, and the energy release/discharge time is 4 hours, with a comprehensive conversion efficiency of over 70%. As a new type of long-term physical energy storage technology, this project can effectively address the volatility, intermittency, and randomness of new energy generation, becoming a "super green power bank". After completion, the project will become the world's largest compressed air energy storage power station with the highest single unit power and conversion efficiency, with an estimated annual power generation of 462 million kilowatt hours.
