Equal pay for equal work with an additional investment of 5 million yuan in assistance funds

Wang Yishan is 46 years old this year. More than 20 years ago, a major fire burned his face severely, causing him to lose his job, unable to find a partner, and losing hope for life at one point.

In 2006, Wang Yishan came to Dayu Electric with a trial and error attitude to apply and successfully became a copper bar worker. Here, he did not encounter any unusual looks, but instead received special attention. Unable to operate the machine, the copper platoon leader taught hand in hand until he mastered it proficiently; He doesn't like to talk, and his colleagues sit around while eating, holding him and chatting about his daily life; There was no target, but the chairman of the group helped introduce him. At the end of that year, he formed a small family. The dimly lit day lit up.

Slowly, family and colleagues noticed that Wang Yishan had changed, his waist straightened, his face smiled, and his work became more energetic. After the company's training, he obtained the professional qualification certificate of senior skills and the special operation certificate of low-voltage electrician operation, and became the leader of the copper scheduling team, and was awarded the title of exemplary individual of the company for many times.

Currently, it has placed 110 disabled employees. An annual investment of 5 million yuan in assistance funds will be made.

"Disabled people have their advantages, such as being very focused and efficient in their work. Their abilities are not inferior to those of able-bodied people, and their salary income can reach the same level as that of able-bodied people." Wang Yihua, Chairman of Dayu Electric, said that on the one hand, the company's recruitment of disabled people has made significant progress with the support and assistance of government policies; On the other hand, the company also wants to make more contributions to society and provide a platform for disabled people to settle down.

Creating a corporate culture of "integration of disabled and healthy individuals, equality and mutual assistance"

In order to facilitate the management of services for disabled workers, Dayu Electric has established trade unions and associations for disabled workers, set up a disability service management office, and opened up "employee homes" and "disability homes" to provide rights protection for disabled workers.

At the "Disabled Home", newspapers and magazines are neatly arranged, and fitness equipment such as basketball and badminton are diverse. Various honor certificates and trophies obtained by disabled workers are also displayed.

"In sports events such as the 12th Hubei Provincial Games, the first Special Olympic Games in Hubei Province, and the 3rd Xiaogan City Games, there were figures of our company's disabled employees." Peng Jiu'an, Chairman of Dayu Electric Union, proudly introduced that in 2008, the company won 6 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 2 bronze medals in the disabled athletics and swimming competitions at the 3rd Xiaogan City Games. This year, two disabled workers participated in the 7th Hubei Disabled Workers Skills Competition and won the Moral Fashion Award.
